Dear Central Families:

Parent-Teacher Conferences On-line Scheduler

We have come to the end of the first term and report cards will be going home soon (Wednesday November 30th, 2022). Our Parent-Teacher conferences will be IN-PERSON conferences. Conferences will be taking place on Thursday December 1st from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Parents/Guardians can access and schedule Parent-Teacher conferences beginning today using an on-line booking system.

Conferences are set at 10 minutes. We ask that in consideration for other parents/guardians that you choose only two core subject teachers (Math, English, Science, Social Studies) to make appointments with per child. If your child receives Resource support or Learning Centre support, you will be able to schedule an appointment with Ms. Madigan in addition to your two subject choices. If you would like to schedule an appointment with the school counselor, Ms. DeLory, she will be scheduling zoom appointments to accommodate that she is at more than one school. You can email her at: NDelory@hrce.ca to arrange those appointments. Again these will not count in your 2 subject appointments.

Parents are asked to schedule their Parent-Teacher conference on-line at: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Halifax_Central_Junior_High

When you use the link above you will land on a page with all teachers listed, “choose one teacher which will prompt you for your child’s name and your information.” In PTFast, you first register with your name and contact information after choosing the teacher. They then create a registration and send you a confirmation email with a link to choose your appointment time. You can also add and change both registrations and appointments.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday December 1st from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.

There are No Classes for students on Thursday December 1st, 2022.  There will be a professional development session for staff in the morning and Parent-Teacher Conferences in the afternoon and evening. 

  
There are NO Classes on Friday December 2nd, 2022. The is a school based PD Day for Staff.
